Color sorter is a high-tech product combined with technology of optics, mechanics,electronics and air, so it requires to be strictly followed during installation, running,operating and maintenance, especially the usage of air supply and power supply. There are some warning and notice labels printed both in this manual and on the machine. All operators must read this manual carefully to fully understand all the safety regulations; strictly follow the regulations and instructions during operation.

1 .2 Electricity Safety Regulation

This chapter lists the safety regulation again to remind operator to be careful.

Warning-Electric shock! Professional Engineer only.

Some of the circuits in the electric box and front panel are not controlled by the on/off button on front panel, which means when the machine connects to the power, high voltage exists in these circuits. For safety consideration, only professional is allowed to open the electric box and please unplug the machine before inspection or maintenance unless otherwise regulation is given in the operational manual.

Warning-Electric Leakage! Main machine and accessories must be well earthed.

To avoid static electricity and electromagnetic interference, and for human safety consideration, machine must be well earthed. A11 the parts should be well earthed individually or by connecting to the frame of the machine, feeding and discharging device and dust absorption pipe should be made by metal and well earthed. Grounding resistance should be less than 0.1 0hm. Other supporting facility and conductor near to the machine should be earthed.Any live conductor is prohibited when grounding (such as ground zero line).

Notice---To ensure the machine running properly, operate the

machine with all the covers attached. Do not attempt to

remove any cover during operation.

Electric box is the core unit of the whole machine. The box is a sealed enclosure with wind cooling ventilation system. Do not open the electric box door while the machine is running (short-time maintenance is an exception), otherwise it will damage the machine.

1. 1 Safety Marks

Safety marks consist of four types, naming prohibiting mark, warning mark, instructing mark and reminding mark, suitable for all contents of this manual.

Different marks will be used on different part of the color sorter according to reality, which the operator and maintainer should strictly follow to ensure safety.

◆Red: Usually with circle mark to prohibit some dangerous behavior

◆Yellow: Usually with triangle mark to warn of danger

◆Blue: Usually with circle mark to stipulate some compulsory execution behavior
